01 — Problem

Staking brings a new kind of loss: slashing, where a validator's mistakes or misconfiguration lead the protocol to destroy part of the stake.

To insure it, an underwriter has to understand how validators fail, how likely each failure is, and which operator controls actually reduce the risk. Insurance teams needed that grounding before they could price cover with confidence.

02 — What we did
  • Ran Web3-fundamentals and slashing-mechanics workshops for Munich Re's teams, focused on risk management and how validator failures actually happen.
  • Supported Web3 product design for the insurance side. TBC: what product design meant in practice, e.g. underwriting criteria, risk model inputs, operator due-diligence checklist
  • Related work: slashing workshops for Aon and three other enterprise partners. TBC: can Aon be named here?
03 — Result
  • 1M+ validators unlocked for insurance. TBC: one plain-English sentence on what was unlocked
  • 65% risk reduction. TBC: measured how, and for whom?
  • TBC: did the work feed a specific Munich Re product? Only name one if accurate and cleared
04 — Why it matters for you

If you insure or reinsure digital-asset risk, we turn validator operations into terms your underwriters can price.
