Launching an award-winning Web3 business unit
3
industry awards for infrastructure innovation and technology excellence
01 — Problem
stc Bahrain wanted to move into Web3 as an operator, running infrastructure and earning from it rather than just reselling connectivity.
That meant creating a new business unit from scratch: choosing which protocols to back, how to partner with them, and how to run validator infrastructure to telco standards.
02 — What we did
- Designed and implemented the launch framework for stc Bahrain's Web3 Launchpad, a corporate-led programme to support and develop Web3 protocols. It launched in March 2024.
- Helped shape its partner pathways, including the Pearling Path for new and emerging protocols. TBC: did Lionscraft design the pathways?
- Built and ran validator operations behind the programme. Public announcements name stc Bahrain as a validator or infrastructure partner for Core Chain, Allora, ZetaChain, Aleph Zero and Avalanche. TBC: which of these Lionscraft sourced or operated
03 — Result
- Middle East Technology Excellence Award (2024).
- Best Telecom Infrastructure Innovation, Gulf Business Awards.
- TBC: the third award, its name and year
- $10M+ stake under management. TBC: still current?
04 — Why it matters for you
We have taken a telco from first idea to an award-winning, revenue-generating Web3 unit, and we can run the same playbook for you.
